Win XP to Win7, User Account creation
Hello, I have a question about user account folder creation. So, I have a machine that runs Win XP and the user folder (test1) is on a shared server. I want to install Win7 on it, and migrate the account. After I create a folder called test1.V2 i logon to the Win7 machine. When i logon, the security setting on the new V2 folder get changed and they copy the settings on the new computer. Ex : Before logon : Admin : full access Account admin xx :full access Creator : Full access User : full acces. After logon : Administrators : Full access User : Partial access How can i prevent this changes from taking place?

1. Use migration tools. 2. Be aware that security is local to the computer that is part of workgroup. Regards Milos
