Win XP, Admin login only in Safe Mode and a User profile
Q: Why dose the Admin login only show up in safe mode? I have a user profile that I need to get into and no matter if I login as ADMIN I get access denied. In safe mode I can't print or any screen shots to send for help. I call Dell no help I l look in some books and PC World mags and could not find anything. So I do not want to reformat. I have Win XP Home with SP3... I would like to login as ADMIN all time with out going in to safe mode I am the only user now so its ok.1 person needs an answerI do too

You apparently have XP Home. The built-in Administrator is only available in Safe Mode. When you say you need to get into another user profile, do you mean you need to log into it and can't or do you mean you need to retrieve the data in that account? If you need to retrieve the data and are then going to delete the user account (perhaps because it is corrupted) and make a new one, you can take ownership of the files while in the built-in Administrator account. The user probably made his/her files Private. Taking ownership will solve that and you will be able to get the data. You will need to be in Safe Mode anyway in order to take ownership in XP Home.
