Win 7 with IE9. How to use Compatibility view using GPO?
I am using IE9,32-bit, pasted the url that was provided into the address bar and tapped enter and www.nu.nl loaded. The compatibility icon was not "on". I would update the browser add-ons, Java, Flash player, Shockwave Flash and Silverlight. All that is required is to click the compatibility view icon to display a website in compatibility view. IE9 will retain that setting until the website updates. Then it will turn off automatically.

Hi all, There are more threads like this but do not have the answer. When i open a website (www.nu.nl) IE9 shows the icon that i can be opened in compatibility view. I would like to add the site to my local Group Policy (as i have to do a similar thing on the domain later on). In the Computer Configuration i add *.nu.nl to the GPO setting: Use policy list of Internet Explorer 7 sites. Rebooted my machine to update computer policy. Now when i go to www.nu.nl the site is still not viewed in compatibility view. Also, the site is not there when i go to Tools - Compatibility View. If i do a RSOP on my machine the policy is there. Does someone know what could be wrong?
