Win 7 laptop Wifi brings down my existing network.
I have a longstanding Wifi network with two Win XP machines, a Wifi Printer, and a Tivo on it. Everything works well till I start up the Win 7 laptop. Then the other network assets stop responding, the router stops showing them as IP clients, etc... In short they all cease to work. The Win 7 computer also has significant connection problems. It keeps changing the network ID and location and can't stay connected for more than a few seconds at a time. The network works OK if I shut down the radio and hardwire the Win 7 computer to the router. The network componants often need to be restarted as well before the network regains full capabilities. It seams as if the Win 7 laptop is causing a data collision in the Wifi network. How can I verify, and most importantly correct this? 1 person needs an answerI do too
