Win 7 backup problem dfsth
Win 7 Home edition. 32 bit Notebook 2 yrs old. Hi, I backed up for the first time "Back up your computer" it was 37GB (included System Image). Backup skipped one file, I can't find ANY info on it...... file c:\users\Toshiba\Desktop\dfsth Error: The system cannot find the file specified 0x080070002 When searching in M/S Windows 7 help centre and here, neither dfsth or 0x08007002 were NO results. Have I missed backing up something important? What is this file? Is it supposed to be on the Desktop? BTW I'm not an IP professional (obviously). I hope you don't mind me posting here as I thought there may be more chance of help with this one. Thanks Lyn in Australia

Hi, According to the error message, the system cannot find dfsth file when you perform a backup. Please check if dfsth is exist in c:\users\Toshiba\Desktop. Furthermore, did you install any Toshiba device or programs? Dfsth seems a file of Toshiba program, if backup error with it, just bypass it. It’s not a system file. So it will not cause system issue when you restore with this image. Thankyou very much Leo, dfsth doesn't exist on the desktop. I've since noticed (when I tried to save what I thought were only my photos & jpegs). I went to start, then right clicked over 'Pictures' and copied, I then pasted this to my external HD. When I checked that it had copied properly. I found heaps of stuff, then went back to check in 'Pictures' and in the Pictures Library there is ... My Pictures - (14) folders/pics Public Pictures - (Empty) dfsth (Empty) - this folder is unavailable. Toshiba - (18) folders & files. All my other information!!!! What a surprise to find it in 'Pictures' It had been a display model computer, don't know if that makes any difference. When I finished another full backup again today. Got the same dfsth thingy. Also, the backup size was stated going to be 34.24GB (with system image) The size after finishing was 32.20GB (2.04 GB less). My son had a game that I deleted 2 weeks ago - before I attempted any of this (it was on the desktop) - DivinityII Ego Draconis, it was about 2GB. But I just now, have only found trace things of it since (in his folder) that I deleted, a total of about 50KB; 7 shortcuts, a Utorrent file, Identifier file. I also just deleted the UTorrent program, and getting rid of any other games of his on my computer! so way short of 2.04GB that is ?missing from backup. mmmm strange that dfsth being with the other major things in 'Pictures' ? thanks again Lyn
