Win 7 as vpn server shows network as down but works. Clients can't see shared folders.
Hi I have a Windows 7 machine (will call this the SERVER) that has been set up to accept incoming connections (VPN). When connected to the VPN externally, the pptp adapted is assigned an IP address correctly but I am not able to see any of the resources on server. Something that I have notice, which seems strange, is that the network icon (bottom right) on the server machine is the "wireless icon" with a red cross through it. However, connectivity to the server machine is still the same as before I setup the VPN server. It has internet and local access and local machines can see the shared folders. Any suggesting would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hi, It seems some configuration may be incorrect during setting the incoming connections. You may refer to the following document. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc755008(v=ws.10)Kim Zhou TechNet Community Support
