Hello, Try what Mr. X said. You can access your Windows using safe mode by pressing f8 right after POST right when Windows is starting to load. If the system restore does not do it, try running a chkdisk /r from safe mode. RegardsNaki K. / Falcon IT Services IT Manager for Mextone Corp.

When I power on the system it comes up with the "Resuming Windows..." screen. In a bit the desktop wallpaper comes up with a pointer that works on it. However, no icons, no taskbar, no Windows menu bar when you press the Windows key. Cntl-Alt-Del or Esc do nothing. I cannot get into Safe Mode because it is Resuming, not starting. Any ideas on how to get to the normal startup sequence? Thanx, Charlie Brown

Hi Charlie Brown, Try a Startup Repair. Follow these steps: Note:Please ensure that the DVD-ROM is the first booting device. 1. Please insert the Windows 7 DVD and reboot the computer. 2. When we're prompted to press a key to boot from the DVD, please press Enter or the space bar. 3. Choose your language settings, and then click Next. 4. Click Repair your computer. 5. Select the operating system you want to repair, and then click Next. 6. On the System Recovery Options menu, click Startup Repair. Startup Repair might prompt you to make choices as it tires to fix the problem, and if necessary, it might restart your computer as it makes repairs.
