Win 7 RC x64 freezes when using nas
Hi My problem is that whenever I try to copy files to my Buffalo Linkstation 1TB nas my windows freezes instantly after pressing copy. Machines specs are C2D E4700 cpu, Asus P5KPL-VM, 2x2GB kingston valueram, 160GB spinpoint HDD etc... When i try to move files from my htpc (athlon 64 3200+, 1gb memory etc etc...) to linkstation I dont have any problems. Earlier I installed clean win 7 RC and problem went away for few days and came back. Any ideas what could cause this?

I updated my chipset drivers without any changes. I also noticed that this freezing also happens when I am trying to copy files to one of my XP pro computers. Win 7 - Win 7 copying works fine. This freezing doesnt happen when I am reading files from NAS or WinXp pc. Starting to lose my mind with this...

Ok now my machine has started to freeze whenever i try to move files from this pc to any other pc or nas. Freezing doesnt happen when movin files to USB or cameras memory, so I think my problem is somehow related to network card or its drivers? This mobo has Atheros 10/100/1000 mbps integrated ethernet card and I have tried to use few older drivers and the newest ones without any difference. It still makes me think because it looks likes it only happens when uploading files to another location, not when downloading them.

Hi,
Based on my research, please try the following:
1. Boot the computers to Safe Mode with networking or Clean Boot to check the issue.
To perform a Clean Boot, please refer to:
How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7
2. Run the following commands one by one in an elevated command prompt in Windows 7:
netsh interface tcp set global rss=disabled
netsh interface tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled
netsh int ip set global taskoffload=disabled
Hope this helps. Thanks. Nicholas Li - MSFT
