Win 7 RC - Dell Latidude D830, Intel WLAN issues
Heho,i did download the RC on 30th april, while we had some betas running before. Nice improvements and in may ways smoother expirience than the vista beta/RC (Vista was the standard OS @work, no bigger issues - win7 looks even nicer). While i did not notice the effect first - there is a major problem with WLAN/wifi on Dell with Intel Wirless/Pro 3945.I did notice often needed "F5 - reload" in Webbrowser, then seeing that at ping -t on a LAN resource drops on avg. 10% of the packets.Did try the regular included driver in RC, as well as the most actual for Vista from Intel (btw, this is 64bit).I had allmost the same effect on Vista RC.. even in RTM we had to play with different drivers. with Vista SP1 the problem was gone. We as well as customers had that effect on different Dell laptops.I did try on another Latidude with the same effect, after Win7 + Office + all patches it seems to start. So - right now wifi is realy unusable on our Dell Latidudes ... :-( Saddly, we need wifi very often. besides that, no trouble up to here and realy realy nice overall expirience.Other question: is that the right approach to report an issue in the RC ? there are no feedback-buttons any more, or any feedback-option i did find in Win7 itself. Anywhere/how i can send this in as an issue with the usual config information ? --- Ralf Huelsmann - http://www.huelsmann.name senior consultant business solutions @ it2s.biz , MS gold partner me: http://www.linkedin.com/in/ralfhuelsmann - https://www.xing.com/profile/Ralf_Huelsmann2 Founder & editor at http://www.maxping.org

If you uninstall the driver from device manager and let Windows install it does that help?
