Win 7 RC - Bluetooth Places in Windows Explorer
I have a Motorola Cell Phone set up as a Bluetooth device. All works well - I can send and receive files, and I can view the phone's contents in Motorola Phone Tools software. When I open Windows Explorer (Computer), I see an icon for Bluetooth Places. Assuming the phone is turned on and connected, I would expect to see the phones file contents when I click on the icon. Instead, I get a message that Windows Explorer has stopped working, and am asked to restart the program (we've all seen this before).Am I correct is saying that clicking on this should display the phones files? In any case, why am I crashing Windows Explorer when I click on it?Windows 7 beta dual booting with VISTA Home Premium 2 GB memory 160 HD Gateway Laptop HP Officejet 6310 All-in One inkjet printer Verizon FIOS Internet Connection

You are correct in that it should display the files. What is happening is that the "Bluetooth Places" is a namespace extension to Windows Explorer installed by either the Motorola Phone Tools , or your bluetooth dongle manufacturer. That extension is crashing and is bringing down explorer.

Charlie Lenahan is right. This is most likely an issue with Motorola software. -Nick
