Win 7 Indexing creates multiple listing for outlook 2007 contacts, and they are greyed out...
The feature I use MOST in Vista and now Win 7 is to tap the start button and then type in the first 3 letters of a contact I am looking for in OUtlook 2007.What has started to happen is I now get multiple listings of the same contact, one shows up normally and the others are listed sometimes 5 and 6 of them, but they are greyed out. I can click on any one of them to bring up a contact, but it creates a LOT of confusion, because I NEED to make sure that I am only looking at ONE contact card.I have tried scanpst.exe, i have taken outlook totally OUT of Win7 index and put it back in, I have repaired Outlook, but still the same thing. I have rebuilt the index many times and still the same thing.Has anyone else experienced this and is there a fix? thanks...jfJimmy Fallon Computer Assistance www.mainstreetchatham.com

Hi, actually, the issue may be caused by corrupt Outlook components rather than the index in Win 7 system. You should better contact Outlook Support to make sure whether the issue is caused by Outlook itself. Besides, the issue may be caused by corrupt user profile. You can check the issue in a new user account. Here: How to Create, Delete and Modify User Accounts in Windows 7 I wish the suggestions will be helpful. Cecilia Zhou
