Win 7 Disconnects at regular intervals
Alright to start my computer is: Windows 7 x64 Professional. Connected to a domain. Everyday at roughly 9:3x am and then again at 12:3x pm (it varies by a minute or two but it's always pretty much in that range) my computer loses it's connection to the internet. Digging through the event logs I have found the following: Event id: 1014 Name resolution for the name isatap.DOMAIN.local timed out after none of the configured DNS servers responded. Did a little digging on this and from what I've read this is related to IPv6. Trouble is, my IPv6 is turned off. So I'm stuck. So I'm stuck. If anyone has any suggestions, I'd appreciate it.

Standard response: update your network drivers to the latest version. Now that that's out of the way let's look at some other things. Is your machine the only one that loses connectivity, or do others as well? Is your DNS handled by an internal DNS server (maybe a your DC) or do you rely on your ISP for DNS? Does your PC lose all connectivity to your network or just to the Internet? Will it still resolve local LAN names when this happens? There may be something going on on your server that's causing this; a program or service running that's making it slow down to the point that your PC times out waiting for a response - something like a backup routine.

Network driver up to date. My machine is the only one that this happens to. And it's all connectivity. I'm not able to ping anything internal or external. DNS is internal. I don't think it's the server, since we've been running good for years now and I'm the only one that is having these problems.

Then I take it you've already tried the following as well? Run the following commands in an elevated command prompt: netsh interface tcp set global rss=disabled netsh interface tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled netsh int ip set global taskoffload=disabled Disable SNP by setting Registry as following: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters] EnableTCPChimney=dword:00000000 EnableTCPA=dword:00000000 EnableRSS=dword:00000000 If the keys do not exist, please create them and assign the value.

I went ahead and did all of this. Thanks for the suggestions. I'll be out of the office tomorrow morning but I'll leave my computer on so that if it happens again at 9:3x like has been happening, then it will still log something in the event log. I'll let you know tomorrow afternoon when I'm able to check. Once again, thanks for the responses.
