Win 7 Beta - A bit disappointed
As a late entry Beta tester, I am a bit disappointed. I was hoping to challenge my computer savy by discovering bugs and issues, but to my dismay, those that were here before me, did a pretty good job. I am finding this version to be the best windows yet. Except for the fact that if your PC doesn't support Aero, your experience is somewhat limited and confusing, this has been an overall Boring Beta. (which is a tribute and good thing to those at MS)

I have seen quite a few from things not working to simply minimize notepad++ and half of the screen stays black! I have sent quite a few too.... and hope to send more!Aero has many bugs too, but I don't have Aero on Toshiba. Too old for that!Adelino Araujo

The notepad issue that you mention might have something to do with your hardware. I first installed the beta on a dell inspiron 6000 notebook that did not support aero. I was confused at first by all the raving of the new taskbar because the notebook did not support aero. I didn't though have the screen issues that you have. My only issue was with Zone Alarm preventing internet connectivity. I then installed the Beta on my Dell Vostro desktop as a new 64 bit install. This did support aero and my eyes were filled with candy and great operability. I am using this system on a daily basis using many applications from all eras of computing and have not found any major issues.
