Win 7 64 printer problems
Can't seem to find a driver for an HP Deskmate 2200 series using Win 7 64 bit. Sees the printer, acknowledges as the default, prints anything I clip from a web page but will not print any text I enter. Whether it's from word, excel, data entered into a web site's form {prints the form, shapes, text such as headers, lines, etc but nothing I enter) Does not print email. I have tried downloads via windows and hp with equal results. Anyone seen this?

Hi, There is no Deskmate 2200 model. The Business Inkjet 2200 and LaserJet 2200 are not supported by HP for Windows 7 64-bit. The only drivers available are the drivers included in Windows 7. What is your model? Next, try the hardware toubleshooter. Right-click on the flag in the notification area and select troubleshoot a problem. In the Hardware and Sound category, select the use a printer and follow the dialog. If that does resolve the issue, try uninstalling the printer and any related HP programs from the uninstall a program, turn-off and disconnect the printer. Reboot. Connect the printer, turn it on and let Windows reinstall it. You could also try another cable that connects the printer. It could be bad or an older USB 1.1 cable.
