Win 7OS and digital audio
Hello, I would like to be put in contact with the audio section of Win 7 to discuss highend audio applications, recording and professional features of the OS as related to audio. I am a producer of music and a systems designer. Thank you.. Dx

Darius - Assuming you want to communicate with the development team, thebest possiblemeans to do so would be to get an MSDN subscription. As a member of the development community, you'd have more direct access to the people you seek. However, an MSDN subscription isn't free. If you're serious about developing software and/or hardware, this may be just the ticket for you.

There is also the Windows 7 Mediaforum, where the participants might have similar interests.

Thank you wolfie, this situation is not about being serious or not, its about while there is opportunity still left for parties to come together and improve a platform to give it a competitive edge in the market place as well as for the core of the music and digital audio industries to join resources and create a subsection of the platform that is a key component in the industry as a whole to move forward in what was a "lacking" enviourment that often became a roadblock for the profession which depended on this platform, just like everyone else professionally who uses a MS OS solution product. I am looking to make connection with some of the programmers for that team and start some dialog, which I would be giving my time and resources pro bono and see what level of sucess we achive. Thank you. d

d - Then I would have to say that MSDN would likely be the solution you seek. My point about being "serious" has to do with the fact that MSDN isn't a free resource - and that you would need to purchase a subscription. However, given at this point, given we're at the RC stage, I'm not entirely sure how many changes and modifications would be made to Windows 7. Microsoft has said that at this point, they're in bug fix mode - not in development mode. They are looking to fix bugs that have crept into the system since the Beta was released in January, not add new features. But any suggestions or ideas they get will be considered for a future release. That could be a service pack, a separate add-on package, a new product or Windows 8 or 9.
