WinXP Pro thinks my IDE/ATAPI Zip 100 Drive is a SCSI device and does not read the disks.
Zip 100 Drive was (is) working fine in my older P4computer with WinXP and my new computer (Core 2 Duo)the Biosstartup scan sees it correctly asan IDE/ATAPI drive, but WinXP Pro device manager says it's a SCSI device. Tried several zip disks that work fine old computer. Also noticed that WinXP Procomputer says the disk have a RAW format file system when I click on the drive's properties in 'My Computer', but the disks are formatted with FAT file system from other computer. When I try to read disk, WinXP Pro says they are not formatted - would I like to format them, so I tried formatting one and it failed.1 person needs an answerI do too
