Win8.1 update KB3022345 fails every time with error 800F0922. I tried the Find and Correct Problems built in the OS; also, stopped firewall, bits and wuauserv services, to no avail. Is there a solution?

By the way, I was not allowed to stop windefend service: access denied! Of course, I did try to do it as admin and ran taskmgr elevated, but the OS replied access denied!

ADDED: the Find and Correct Problems built in the OS deleted the whole list of updates.

Win8.1 update KB3022345 keeps failing every time with error 800F0922 via automatic Windows Update.

I downloaded the manual package and it failed too, but it doesn't say which error ocurred, just that it was not installed.

I must say that I have already successfully installed the 2 KB required.

Is there a solution for this problem?

We have seen this problem before and most have been resolved by uninstalling KB3038314, installing KB3022345, then rebooting the computer. After the computer has rebooted into Windows, install KB3038314.

Thanks for your reply. Are you sure about KB3038314? The MS site KB3022345 installation depends on 2 other KB's and not in this one. Also, how to uninstall it, if it does not show up in the in update history (which was emptied by the OS built in solution for errors in Windows Update)? Shouldn't it be enough to re-install it manually, maybe with a parameter like REINSTALLOVERPREVIOUSINSTALLATION, or just FORCE?

Current status: except for .NET 3.5 update, every update failed (total of 10, so far).
