Win8.1 update KB3022345 fails every time with error 800F0922. Is there a solution?

Win8.1 update KB3022345 fails every time with error 800F0922. I tried the Find and Correct Problems built in the OS; also, stopped firewall, bits and wuauserv services, to no avail. Is there a solution?

By the way, I was not allowed to stop windefend service: access denied! Of course, I did try to do it as admin and ran taskmgr elevated, but the OS replied access denied!

ADDED: the Find and Correct Problems built in the OS deleted the whole list of updates.

Hi,

So you mean the standalone package is also not installed successfully on the 1st computer, right?

If yes, please let us know the exact error message when you attempt to install it manually.

From it's KB information, it need some prerequisites. Check if the 1st computer meet that requirement.

To apply this update, you must first have update 2919355 installed in addition to security update 3045999 installed in Windows 8.1 or Windows Server 2012 R2.

Hi,

Sorry, my previous post is a bit misleading: I did not use the stand alone package.

I only used automatic Windows Update so far.

I understand now, after reading some posts in other sites, that MS issued a patch for it, before installing it in my 2nd computer; maybe, this made the whole difference.

I'll see what happens to my 1st computer when I get back to it.
