hi my wifi suddenly became limited access,it has a yellow dot on the icon, the router is a netgear wireless router and it doesnt even lrt me use the wire, it shows that i have the lan wire connected but it still wont let me acces the internet my ipconfic reads as Host name......:Marsha-NB Primary Dsn Suffix......: Mode Type......:Hubrid Ip Routing Enabled......:No WINS Proxy Enabled......:No and thats all she wrote! i know my ip address 192.168.0.1 but i cant seem to install a static address, also i only seem to have tcp/ipv6 not v4 installed what am i to do? please help i need a solution fast kind regards Uk_Brotha

Hi, I would like to suggest you perform the following troubleshooting suggestions: 1. Update the firmware for the router. 2. Update the drivers for the wireless and the wired network cards. 3. Run networking troubleshooters. 4. Test the wired network card in Safe Mode with Networking and test the wireless network card in Clean Boot. 5. If you are using Windows 7 Professional, Enterprise or Ultimate, open Local Group Policy Editor, navigate to Computer Configuration\Windows Settings\Security Settings\Network list manager policies\Unidentified Networks and change Location type to Private.
