Win7 seems to remove added NETWORKSERVICE permissions from registry on reboot
Hi I have an application that I am trying to make compatible with Windows 7. I need to allow NETWORKSERVICE read/write permissions to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE to have the application’s current licensing protection work correctly. (The app uses NETWORKSERVICE to read and write a random key under HKEY_LOCAL _MACHINE. My current installer sets the permissions correctly, and all looks good until you reboot. For some reason (Even after manually granting NETWORKSERVICE permissions to this key) NETWORKSERVICE is removed from the permissions list. Any insight to what may be going on would be greatly appreciated.
