Win7 security configuration
Hi there, Were in the process of setting up some Win7 workstation in a public environment without a domain but we'd like to configure some standard security settings. I've done the majority via Security Templates and configured an INF where we'll deploy to each workstation to setup the User Right Assignments, Security Options and others. But can anyone give some advise is there anyway I can create an INF or some sort which can be used to set things such as the Computer and User Configurations in GPEdit.msc because I can't find these settings in INF and we've got like 30-40 PCs which needs 50-60settings configured via GPedit.msc such as Windows Components, IE Settings etc. Any advice appreciated. Cheers.......Momo

Hi, The security configuration is under C:\Windows\inf\Defltbase.inf. When using MMC and add Security Templates Snap-in, search this template path. If you want to deploy the group policy, you can refer to the following blog. http://blogs.technet.com/b/grouppolicy/archive/2010/01/19/tales-from-the-community-how-do-i-deploy-windows-7-policy-settings.aspx Best Regards, NikiPlease remember to click "Mark as Answer" on the post that helps you, and to click "Unmark as Answer" if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
