Win7 overtakes my CMOS phase
Hi, Since I've installed win7, I face a strange problem, Post phase, the interval preceding win7, is unavailable, neither for configuring CMOS, nor for choosing an os or safe mode, nothing, just a blank screen. Let's start from the basics: My pc is a triple boot system, winxp pro, English win7 and Hebrew win7. The system is connected via analog connection to a Samsung SyncMaster 940bw monitor and throu HDMI cable to an LG tv set. When I start my system while all display cables are plugged, both monitor and tv' the system starts with a short testing phase for analog-digital connection to the monitor, analog is selected, then the screen becomes black and no input seems to be taken, this until the default os (be it any of the three abovementioned), starts. When I unplug the tv cable, the system behaves normally, I can see the Post messages, select OS, select mode, and continue to whatever option chosen. If I plug the tv cable when the system is already settled, be it in win7 or winxp, the connection is operative. If display configuration is set as desired, I can see graphic output on my tv set. This problem started following a purchase of a new computer, but the black screen problem didn't show up prior to win7 installation. It started only following the new os was installed. At first I suspected that it was a matter of hardware incompatibility. I've replace the mb (GA-P43-ES3G) with a new one and test an alternative monitor. These drastic hardware actions made no change. What's wrong?

May be you have update your BIOS after installing Windows 7? You may restore the BIOS to the version when it is purchased and see the result. Or, otherwise, update the BIOS to the latest version.
