Win7 networking problem
Win7 networking problem I recently updated my router, now it has three PCs connect to router, one is PS3, one is Win vista, one is Win7. Both PS3 and Win Vista work fine. But Win7 PC had the trouble access the internet. However, If I replace this Win7 PC with a Win XP notebook, same router, same cable, it works just fine. Switch back to Win 7, problem again. But I could ping the IP address from Win7, get response, if ping with website name, not response. I think the cable, the router works fine, since I am able to ping IP address with response. Sometime must be wrong in Win7 configuration. I don’t know what is wrong. Many thanks

Hi, Before going any further, I would like to verify these situations: 1 Can other PC visit Windows 7? 2 Can Windows 7 ping through the router? 3 What’s the error message when Windows 7 visit internet? Please try to perform these steps to troubling this issue: 1 Temporary disable firewall on Windows 7 2 Remove PS3 and Windows Vista PC from the router 3 If Windows 7 still cannot visit internet, connect windows 7 bypassing the router to see the result 4 Update the network driver to the latest version 5 login with Clean Boot or Safe Mode with networking Hope it works.
