Win7 Professional sees ghost fles in a samba share
I have a user running windows 7 professional 32 bit , service pack 1. He is able to connect to a samba server and access his shares on it as well as several group shares without issue. There is one specific group share 'salescda' that he is able to access but when he does he sees files that aren't there any longer. Everyone else that has access to that group share does not have any issues and sees the files normally. If I create a login for him on another workstation he can see the files in the group share 'salescda' without issue and it is only on his workstation that he is seeing files that don't exist. I have tried removing him completely from the samba server, restarting the samba server and then recreating his user id and giving him access to the group shares again. The same problem comes up that he can see his personal and most of teh group shares but the one called 'salescda' he only sees a couple of files in it and those don't exist. My best guess is that his workstation has something cached in it for the 'salescda' group share and will not allow it to be modified or updated but I do not know where this might be. Regrettably the user is quite a distance away so I have to do everything remotely on his workstation. Any ideas what I might try to solve this ?

1. What files does the user see? 2. IMHO: Samba forum is better place to solve the problem http://lists.samba.org/ regards Milos

Hello Niki Thank you very much for the suggestion. That solved the problem and he is now able to see the files in the share.
