Win7 Pro 32-bit SP1 Goes to login screen after 1 minute
I have a Windows 7 Pro 32-bit SP1 laptop that will go to the login screen after 1 minute of inactivity. Screen saver settings is set to wait for 30 minutes of inactivity. Power settings are set to wait 30 minutes when plugged into AC power and 5 minutes when on battery power. The laptop is on a domain and gets group policys from the server. This is the only laptop on the domain that is experiencing this issue.

The GPO settings are set for 30 minutes. After 1 minute of inactivity the computer will go to the logon screen. The user will have to enter their username and password to unlock the screen. There are no settings in the power control panel that would cause this.

Hi, Since this feature could be set in GPO, I suggest that you may check GPO by following steps: 1. Click Start button, type ”gpedit.msc” in Search bar. 2. Move to Local Computer Policy ->User Configuration\Administrative Templates\Control Panel\Personalization. 3. Check the item “Screen saver timeout”, this option defined the idle time before the screen saver is launched. Also I want to know whether your computer is locked? Or Your account log off at that time? Or sleep? If it sleeps, you may change the screen saver option, uncheck the following option. Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. This can be beneficial to other community members reading the thread.
