Win7 Enterprise Client GPO (generated from GPOaccelerator command line) prevents UNC path and home drive mappings
I recently started working with the Win7 EC laptop policy (from the GPOaccelerator, when running the cscript command to create the enterprise client GPOs for Windows 7) and have discovered that this ADMX-based GPO prevents users from mapping to the home directory specified in the computer object. Not only does it prevent mapping to the home directory, it appears to prevent any use of an UNC path in an explorer windows and it is also preventing the user's profile to load. I've killed the Advanced Firewall in the GPO and the UAC, but still can't map. I know it's the GPO giving me the headache because if I move my computer object to our current production GPO (ADM-based for XP) and do a GPupdate /force and reboot the system works Ok again, profile loads, and home directory shows up. We do roaming profiles and offline files synch along with our MyDocs (Documents) redirection to the user's home directories and I'm trying to get Win7 to behave like (er, better than our) WinXP SP3 systems. Maybe I've been starting at it for too many hours, but I don't see where this GPO is killing my ability to use a UNC path. Any ideas, Gang?

The GPOAccelerator is no longer available. It has been replaced with Microsoft Security Compliance Manager and the Local Policy Tool, see http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/what-happened-to-the-gpo-accelerator.aspx for more details. You can download SCM at http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc677002.aspx.
