Win7Ultimate x64 -Save files on local drive error
Hi folks. When in an application (non office) if I try to save a file i.e. a log file from a java app, a picture from an email or an mp3 or similar after I have named the file Win7 refuses to accept the save. I click save and nothing happens. Now if I click the folder tree and CHOOSE A FOLDER one up in the tree it saves it there. Of course then I have to go to explorer and move it. Any advice? Kevin

Hi, I would like to confirm the following questions first: 1. What is the error message? 2. Does this issue occur on all the folders or only a few folders? Based on the current situation, I would like to suggest you disable User Account Control (UAC) to troubleshoot the issue. If it does not work, I also would like to suggest you run the following command with elevated privilege to enable the built-in administrator account to test the issue. net user administrator /active:yes You may also test the issue in Clean Boot to remove the possible third party software conflicts. Regards, Please remember to click “Mark as Answer” on the post that helps you, and to click “Unmark as Answer” if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
