I installed Win7 over the weekend on a (5 year old, all components original)computer I built. Nvidia N2U400 A MoboAMD Athlon Barton2800+processor @ stock 2.08 Ghz no overclockNvidia FX-5500 256 MB video cardMaxtor 80 Gig ide hdd1 gig DDR400 MemoryLiteon DVD-RW and DVD romOn board AC97 soundI installed with no hitches, recognized chipset drivers from original disk. I ran windows update soon after installation and it installed drivers for the video card and HP printer as well as everything else.This system runs BETTER than my Win XP SP3. I love it and as soon as it comes out I will buy it. I have had only one BSOD that fixed itself upon restart. I haven't defraged yet but will soon. GP
