Been having a lot of problems with Windows Update lately.

First, it wouldn't do any updates, then all of a sudden, it updated to the point where Windows 10 is the only thing left.

It appears I am fully up-to-date with Windows 8.1, but it will not successfully install Windows 10.  (I'm also having issues with other internet services such as NVIDIA updates.)

I have tried:
- SFC /scannow
- SFC fix
- Windows Update Diagnostics (which always fixes errors)
- DISM

NOTHING WORKS. This is looking more and more like I need a clean install. BUT, when I try to boot from a CD or USB, it doesn't work and it's not recognized.  Neither in UEFI or Legacy.

Please try a Clean Boot to see if it is caused by third party application:

In Clean Boot, please try to run Windows Update again to see if updates could be installed.

In addition, you can find the name of updates and download it , then try to install these updates manually .
