Will Windows 8.1 Preview automatically update to Windows 8.1 (full release version)?

Hi All,

Does anyone know if Windows 8.1 Preview will automatically be updated to the full released version of 8.1 once it becomes available?

Many thanks,

Grant

Yes, it will. Please see the Springboard Series blog post about it:
http://blogs.windows.com/windows/b/springboard/archive/2013/06/27/windows-8-1-preview-an-enterprise-call-to-action.aspx

Note: "Its also important to note that while computers running Windows 8.1 Preview can be updated to the final Windows 8.1 release, this update process will only migrate the data on the device. All applications (from the Windows Store or desktop applications) will need to be reinstalled as part of this process"

You will have to install all your apps, Windows will keep just data.

Yes, you can upgrade from Windows 8.1 Preview to the rtm version, but not automatically. You have to do it manually. Thanks !
