Will MS come out with vm additions for Windows 7?
I am running Windows 7 in Virtual PC 2007 and some of the additions are not working (dragging and dropping from host to guest). Is Microsoft going to add vm additions for this for Windows 7 and if yes can you tell us when and where to get them?thanksrobin

Reportedly you can install them by running them in Vista compatibility mode.I would assume official addons won't be released until Win7 retail.

I am running Win 7 on Virtual PC 7. The additions loaded perfectly. However dragging and dropping did not work for me until I experimented a little.I can drag and drop from some specific folders to other specific folders. Some work, some don't.I can not use the desktop and this always fails.

Hi Robin,i never used the drag and drop feature a lot because it is very buggy implemented. Already within Windows XP and Windows Vista. I recommend in using a network share, this will work much better than the drag and drop feature.Peter Forster, MVP Virtual Machine, Austria

I was just playing around with it to see if it would work. I am trying to figure out how to do it through from the host to the guest. I just have not figured that out yet. I am new to virtual pc so I am trying this way and that way.thanks for the advicerobin
