Wifi Crashing after installing Windows 7
I recently upgraded to Windows 7 from Windows XP Media Center, and my internet has just recently started crashing, and I cant seem to figure out why. When I had Windows XP on my computer, I hadnt ran into any problems regarding my internet, as it was always stable, but it seems since I put windows 7 on, my ping randomly spikes and my internet drops. I play some of the bigger internet games like World of Warcraft, and I again have never had any problems on them until windows 7. As of things I've tried so far, Ive gone in, reset my IP an flushed my DNS (Didnt work), Ive made sure everything is set to automatic, Ive reset my router/modem, and those havent seemed to change anything. (Ive also gone in and made sure all my drivers where up to date.)

Hi, Based on my research, please try the following: 1. Please check the signal strength. If it is not strong enough, this may cause the network disconnection issue. 2. Update the wireless NICs driver. 3. Disable Saving Power function of the NIC: ============================= 1) Click Start, right click on Computer and choose Properties. 2) Click Device Manager. 3) Navigate to the wireless NIC, right click on it and choose Properties. 4) Go to Power Management tab. 5) Please uncheck Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power." 6) Restart the computer and check if it works. Hope this helps. Thanks. Nicholas Li - MSFT
