Hi wazme, The technology you are referring to (using Windows to set up wireless networks) is Windows Connect Now. You can read more information about it at http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/connect/rally/rallywcn.mspx. Windows Connect Now enables a simple and more secure configuration of wireless networks. Not everyone is comfortable setting up a wireless router or access point through a web interface, and many are left at defaults. Setting one up can also be frustrating if you mistype one character of the network key. Using Windows Connect Now ("Set up a wireless router or access point"), setting up the wireless router or access point does not require learning its web interface. As referenced in the presentation"How to Use Windows Connect Now to Enable Simple Setup for Consumer Wi-Fi Networks" on the above website, the settings are also sent encrypted. The network key can then be securely transmitted to other compatible devices, with no need to remember the network key. Hope this helps, Stefanie
