WiFi impossible to connect when I reopen screen on laptop
I have a Toshiba Satellite A300-ME with Windows 7 RC installed few months ago. When I close the screen (I hope you understand me, I'm spanish) and then I open it (my laptop lost the internet connection when I close the screen) I can't connect, it says to me I have Limited connection to my WiFi. In few words, when I start windows 7 it connects in 0,0 seconds to internet, but when I close the screen and reopen it, I must restart if I want to connect to internet. My WiFi device is a FON Router (www.fon.com) and my WiFi Device is Intel WiFi Link 5100 AGN

Hi Victor VS,Try to solve the problemadjusting the power options. Control Panel>Hardware and Sound>Power Options. You will see an option to configure "when the lid closes" options. The wireless nic is not resetting after sleep or hibernation. Continue to check Toshiba for updates for Win 7. It could also be a BIOS or hardware management issue with the specific notebook software.ASUS P4PE-P4 Extreme 3.4gHz-2gb G.Skill PC3200-XPSP3:55gb-Win7RC:17gb-DATA:500gb-ASUS N6800GT

Hi, Thank you for your posts. Additionally, please try this: Disable Save Power function of the Wireless NIC: ============================= 1. Click Start, right click on Computer and choose Properties. 2. Click Device Manager. 3. Navigate to the Wireless NIC, right click on it and choose Properties. 4. Go to Power Management tab. 5. Please uncheck Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power." 6. Restart the computer and check if it works. Hope this helps. Thanks.Nicholas Li - MSFT
