Wi-Fi internet connection stops and starts randomly
Hi, Please assign a static IP address for your wireless network first. Also, try the following steps. 1. Disable your firewall. 2. Ping a public DNS name and check whether the proper IP address is returned. 3. Change a Channel for your wireless network.Juke Chou TechNet Community Support

Have two computers one with Win 7 & one XP. Have Cox cable. Have D-Links router. Worked fine for several months. Now internet connection stops and starts randomly. Cox has confirmed their system is working. Router has all lights on as usual. Computer shows internet connected. It happens to each computer at the same time. Have reset modem and router. What could it be? Thanks for any suggestions

Click start, type secpol.msc, go to Network List Manager Policies, and change either your network, or what Windows does with unidentified networks. Not sure if this will correct your internet, but it can at least identify your networks easier.
