Why won't my computer connect to the internet when the router is encrypted?
Hello everyone, This is my first post, so sorry if I miss on a forum guideline etc. I'll be as detailed as I can, and I would guess that the issue I am having here has happened to others before. I have a Belkin Wireless Router that works for two of the laptops in my house, but does not work for the other. The laptop I am writing this from has no issues with the wireless network, the router, or the encryption settings. It runs on Windows Vista. The computer that is not working is also Windows Vista, and does not have an issue connecting to the router. That said, the computer is then unable to connect to the internet. Now, I tried troubleshooting earlier, and actually came up with a temporary solution. When I turned off all encryption/passwords, the computer not only connected to the router, but was able to access the internet as well. When I turn on WPA-2 Encryption (as the computer is equipped to use) with a password, the computer has no problem connecting to the router but will not take the 'next-step' and get internet access. Let me know if anyone has a solution/idea as to what I can/should do to fix this problem! I'd be happy to provide more information if need be. Thanks, Dan

Hi, Please connect with a cable and reset password and encryption and then remove the cable, start using wireless connection to check the result.
