Why login and password prompt in Win7 for wireless acess point?
I plugged a different wireless card in my laptop to use only when I'm at home, to access my wireless access point on the home network. When I choose the network and click <Connect> I get a window that wants a login and password. I have never gotten that before...and my user login and p/w don't work. The access point is wep enrypted. My other wireless adapter (USB) works O.K., and I've never been asked for anything but the wep key. What's the login and p/w that win7 is looking for with the PCMCIA card? This is making me nuts!

Delete the wireless profile from network. 1) Go to Start and click on Control Panel. 2) Proceed to click View network status and tasks in Control Panel window. 3) Network and Sharing Center window will appear, proceed to clickManage wireless networks on left panel. 4) Manage Wireless Networks window will appear, and here you can see all available wireless network connection profiles. Select the profile you don’t use anymore, click on Remove to delete the selected profile "Everything we do is dictated by motive."
