Why is Port 80 used by NT Kernel?
I want to use port 80 for a web server not IIS. However, that is being used by NT Kernel PID 4. I wanted to know how I could switch the kernel to listen on another port and continue to use port 80 for web server. Does it cause any issues? Also, how can I do this without disabling the firewall so that an app I have on the iPhone can connect to my web server? Currently it is trying to authenticate and the firewall is giving issues, so I had to turn it off.programmer

Is the branchcache service running? If it is try disabling it. I think it uses port 80.http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserver2008/en/us/branch-Cache.aspxKerry Brown MS-MVP - Windows Desktop Experience
