Why do WinXP sp3 reboots advise that MS IE6 and MS OE6 have been removed from my computer?
In the reboot cycle starting within the last 2 weeks, a window appears advising me that IE6 has been removed and inquiring if I wish to remove personalized information. There is a repeat for OE6 immediately following my response about IE6.IE6 and OE6 do operate altho they do not appear in any program list nor in the list of installed items at Control Panel/Add and remove.1 person needs an answerI do too

I do not have the exact wording that occurs during the reboot process but the following is very close:Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 has been removed from this computer. Do you wish to remove personalized information associated with the item? (Can click 'Yes' or 'No' and the reboot continues). The same then follows for MS OE 6.Thanks for your interest. Looking forward to resolution.

We have a winner. The Is Installed values in the registry had not changed from 0 to 1. Thanks
