I don't believe that questioningthe actions of the moderators is permitted here. (I assume that the thread was deleted.)I wasone of the participants in that thread. Maybe it was something I said. I hope not. I prefer being helpful to making argument.

Hi OldHobo and bobknA few threads have been removed in recent days.This had nothing to do with the subject of these threads or the legitimate posts in the threads. It had to do with an overwhelming amount of 'off topic' posts to those threads by just a couple of members. An unfortunate side effect of removing a whole thread is that all of the legitimate postsin the thread are also removed.We must follow a very strict set of guidelines before a decision is made to delete a wholethread. We first try to selectively delete the posts that violate the Community Code of Conduct and Terms Of Use, but if the violators insist on continuing their unacceptable behavior, then we have no other choice but to remove the thread.Thanks for understanding.
