Why copying from one windows share on one PC to other windows share on second PC is in several times slowly?
Why copying from one windows share on one PC to other windows share on second PC is in several times slowly? then direct copying? So, I just connected to one share on one PC and copying file to second share on second PC. Speed is about 1Mbyte/sec. Link speed is 100 Mbit/sec. While I'm copying directly from windows share to my local PC, download speed is ~11Mbyte/sec Please adviseAlex

This is quite obvious as you have two network connections instead of one, which reduces available bandwith to one half, and data has to be stored and retrieved on the third PC after receiving it from the first PC before it can go out to the second PC, which can be quite slow if your PC is not optimally configured for such operations especially if it is low on physical memory.
