Why can't I open a lot of web pages that everyone else seems to be able to open, including all the "Pre order Windows 7" websites?
There are a lot of web pages that will not open for me. I get an error message that says something like, "there was a problem with connection" when I know my DSL is connected. A few weeks ago, I received an email from you, Tiger Direct, Costco, Mwave, and others with an add to pre order Windows 7 at half price. I could never get any of the pages to open for me, and now it seems it is too late to get this deal. I went into the "Internet Options" and changed my security settings to a lower level and this did not seem to help either. What do I need to do to open websites that I know are safe?

Ronny - Have you tried an alternative browser like Firefox or Chrome? Do they work any better?Just because you're connected to the Internet doesn't necessarily mean you can actually connect to a remote site. There could be other mitigating circumstances that prevent you from getting from point A to point B - namely points C - Z in between. Security may not be the issue.
