Why are my programs not working?
I am a Windows XP Professional 5.1 with service pack 3 user and here recently I have been unable to load webpages on Internet Explorer (current version 8), open the iTunes Music store, or install Yahoo Instant Messenger. Alot of these programs prompt to adjust the firewall settings, yet I've checked all my firewalls that I currently know about and they are inactive. The antivirus program I have is AVG Free 9.0, clean the junk out with CCleaner 2.27.1070, and I'm forced to use Firefox 3.5.7 as of this writing. When this started I was using the earliest version Internet Explorer, so I tried updating in the hopes that would fix the problem, but no luck. I am at my wits end as I don't know what to do please help. Thanks in advance.
