Why Won't Windows 7 Work Correctly With Dreamscenes
I'm Hoping That Microsoft Puts Them Back In What's The Point Of Upgrading Your Operating System If Your Going To Take An Important Part Of It Out...Eye Candy Is Nice Especially When You Put The Money Into You System To Make It Work Properly....Windows 7 Is Like Having Windows xp Back....Vista Had Some New Ideas Just Unperfected I ThinK Instead Of Making A New OS We Just Need To Fix The Old One We All Spent Hundreds Of Dollars On...Service Pack 2 Fixed Some Problems But Still Can't Run All My XP Runnable Games Kinda Makes Me Mad...When Is Microsoft Ever Going To Get It Right And Quit Selling Us Demos!!! Guess I'm A Little Upset That Microsoft Is Abandoning Vista When It's So New Yet And Not Even 2 years Old Yet!!! Service Pack 2 Should Of Taken Vista Ultimate And Others To Windows 7 Standards... And Fixed ALL Compatablity Errors Instaed Of Abanding Us Loyal Customers Again Like They Did With Windows ME!! Thanks For Your Time Hope Microsoft Reads This And Makes The Necessary Inprovements!!!

No one is "abandoning Vista", which is nearly 3 years old BTW. XP came out less than 2 years after 2000, no one thought 2000 was "being abandoned", it is still being supported today.

Ben - Maybe it's because Dreamscenes - while it's a very cool concept - sucks down a TON of resources. And while your machine may be up to the task, many others are not. The concept of Windows 7 is to make it "Lean and Mean" and fast. Microsoft cut a LOT of things out of Vista and previous versions of Windows. Some of them - email, IM, Movie Maker, Parental Controls were made optional. Some of the more bloated oneswere simply removed. For the record, Microsoft is not abandoning Vista. They're moving on to a new version - yes, but Vista support isn't slated to expire for a while yet. Microsoft tends to support most of their operating systems for at least 5 years from when they were first released. Given Vista came out in January of 2007, it won't likely be retired until 2012 or 2013. You've got plenty of time. Enjoy.
