Who Do I Stop A Script Running In A Web Page in IE 11?

Surface Pro 3 512GB
Windows 8.1 with all patches
IE 11

In the older versions of IE there was a button to stop a web page from running.  That is, you could load the web page and then stop it.  That button seems to be missing in IE 11.  How do I get it back?

Hi,

It still be there and also could be used to stop loading a page (for example, it takes too long).

When you try to load a website, the refresh button after address bar will turn into stop button.

In addition, you could press ESC to stop this loa

can you provide screen shoot?

can you run IE via Internet Explorer for Desktop, not from IE metro app?

In default IE 11 metro app display there is no reload button, but after you type any site or during reload webpage it will appear

default IE 11 metro app

after you type certain website

you can also try to reinstall IE or perform system restore
