Which is installed 32bit or 64bit ???
I just downloaded and installed windows 7, and I THOUGHT I downloaded the 64bit version since I have a 64bit processor. I installed the OS and when looking in the system info, it does indeed say (System Type : 64-bit Operating System)...HOWEVER...When browsing to my C:/ drive I see a folder named "Program Files(x86)", which correct me if I am wrong but the (x86) designation means 32 bit...yes? Why then do I have that folder?

BanditoCIS - Yup. You've got the 64 bit version. the "C:\Program Files (x86)" folder only exists in the 64 bit variation. The idea is to keep the 32 bit code separated from the 64 bit code. There's a number of 32 bit apps of Windows components - Explorer, IE, etc... as well.
