Which NAS should I get for Windows 7?
I am having trouble finding NAS that are listed as compatible with Windows 7. There is an LG that is listed on the Windows 7 hardware compatibility list, but I'm not looking for a NAS that has a dvd or bd writer built into it. I feel like I'm paying for hardware I don't need and already have. Can anyone recommend a dual drive RAID 1 NAS that definitely works with Windows 7 without requiring any hacks/workarounds? If it has 4 drives like the WD ShareWhachaMaCallIt, that's cool. I'm in a price range of $300 to $400. Thanks!

I've been wondering that also. I've seen the Buffalo Linkstation Pro Duo but I too would like something that doesn't require hours of tweaking to get it to work.

I would suggest you do some reading, there is no issue with NAS boxes that takes any "tweaking / hacking"Older LINUX uses a LESS secure protocol, you can dumb down windows witha few clicks of the mouse. The answer has been posted here MANY times.
