Internally you should have a lyncdiscoverinternal.sipdomain.com point to your front-end server (HLB VIP) and externally you should have lyncdiscover.sipdomain.com pointing to your reverse proxy on port 443. The reverse proxy should be forwarding to port 4443 on the front-end server (HLB VIP).

Hi,

If you are talking about Lync Client is:

Internal DNS:
_sipinternaltls._tcp.<sip domain>
port: 5061
server: pool FQDN

External DNS
_sip._tls.<sip domain>
port: 443
server: Edge Access Service FQDN

Good call David!  For some reason I was reading the question as all about mobility - must be all of the mobility questions recently.  The only other thing to add to David's post is to make sure your SRV records don't cross domains.  For example:

_sipinternaltls_tcp.domain.com should point to something within the domain.com.  It should not point to corp.local for example.  If you do that, you will get a certificate warning.

Thanks,

Richard
