Where is my Windows Media Player.
I have a new desktop computer with Win 7 and Outlook 2010.The shop that built it transferred all my music, videos etc from my old XP to the new computer.Everything is fine, and I can click on Music,or Videos and they play on WMP. But,I cannot find WMP to load by itself. If I search,I get 'no result'.It is not listed amongst the Installed Programmes. No matter where I search,it just doesn`t turn up-yet it must be on the computer, otherwise how could I play my music or videos? Help would be appreciated,as I cannot fully utilise WMP until I can find it and load it.

Hi, Based on my research, please try the following: 1. Check if wmplayer.exe exists in C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player. If so, please run it and see how it works. 2. Open Windows Feature and check if Media Function is checked. You can also try to disable and re-enable it and see how it works. If issue persists, you can run System File Checker tool and let us know the result. Hope this helps. Jeremy Wu TechNet Community Support
