For both the specific user and 'public' (all users), where are these folders and shortcuts stored?I have the need to add a custom folder and link to a program which doesn't install itself.Thanks :)

For crying out loud, I forgot I had show hidden off, nice.Side question: Is there any way to have 'show hidden' turned on for everything 'except' the desktop?

Like a genius, I had 'show hidden' off. The main reason I had it off is it was littering my desktop with hidden things I didn't want to see. Would be nice if I could not show hidden things on the desktop, but show them everywhere else :)

Typically the only time things show up on the desktop whenshow hidden is enabledis if "Hide protected operating system files" is unchecked.
